Military and Veterans Affairs Bureau

The Nutley Military & Veterans Bureau offers the veteran and military family, a “one stop service center” that will provide them with a number of services that include basic health care assessments, employment assistance, legal guidance, counseling, and other services and benefits they may be entitled to through the Veterans Administration. These services are available to all Nutley Veterans, and members of all branches of the U.S. Military and Coast Guard, active and reservists.

Please feel free to contact the Nutley Department of Public Affairs Military and Veterans Affairs Bureau at 973 284 4976 or  e-mail  us for more information about the many services we plan to provide Nutley’s military families and veterans in the near future.

Military Mentoring Program

The Nutley Military & Veterans Affairs Bureau has created a Military Mentoring Program designed to provide assistance and guidance for Nutley residents, including high school and college students, seeking military careers.  In addition to the mentoring program, the Military & Veterans Bureau will expand its assistance to Nutley residents who have family members deployed.

The Military Mentoring Program will:

  • Provide assistance to candidates for the military by working with them as they prepare for the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) Test and pursue special career fields in all branches of the military.
  • Partner with the Civil Air Patrol, to provide some military training for these candidates through their cadet program.

Any Nutley resident interested in the Military Mentoring Program can call Dan Jacoby at 973-284-4976 for further details.
