New Known Cases
The Township of Nutley announced an additional 9 new known cases and 4 deaths related to COVID-19, bringing the Township total known cases to 280 and 22 deaths.

The Board of Commissioners thoughts and prayers go out to all of the deceased and their families. Flags in Nutley and across the state have been lowered to half-staff in honor of all we have lost. No one will be forgotten.

Due to federal privacy regulations, the Township cannot share detailed information on cases and residents should not contact the Nutley Health Department to request patient details.

The Nutley Health Department is working diligently to track any interactions the individuals who tested positive have had with residents, and they will ensure that anyone at risk of exposure is provided with all of the information necessary, including being tested themselves if appropriate.

When do we reopen?
The question a lot of people are asking is when will the economy reopen? The reality is that we don’t yet know, but we know that we need to do so in a way that is safe and follows the guidance of public health officials. Yesterday, Governor Murphy and the governors of 5 other neighboring states (New York, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts) announced the formation of a regional advisory council to coordinate the reopening of the northeast region. The order will remain in effect until 30 days following the end of the Public Health Emergency. The full Executive Order can be viewed at: https://nj.gov/infobank/eo/056murphy/pdf/EO-126.pdf
