Commissioner Mauro G. Tucci has announced that applications for employment are now being accepted for summer positions within the Department of Parks & Recreation.

Summer employment opportunities for Nutley residents in grades 12 through adult are currently being accepted for the following positions; Camp Nutley Counselor, Summer Playground Counselor, Pre-K Program Teachers, helpers and Park Maintenance.   “We are looking to expand our staff and give qualified residents the opportunity to be part of the Recreation family” stated Commissioner Tucci.

These programs are specifically designed to assist youngsters in building confidence, to take part in hands on activities and enjoy a fun filled summer. We are looking for motivated, energetic, positive and upbeat individuals to lead various classes and activities throughout our 4 to 8 week summer programs.  These programs allow us to create various employment opportunities for the community while providing a safe, constructive environment for our youth to spend their summer.

Eligible residents must complete applications and submit them no later than April 1, 2016.  Upon hire employees are all required to be fingerprinted and CPR certified prior to the start of each program.
