A Message From Mayor Mauro G. Tucci

Mayor Mauro G. Tucci would like to wish residents a safe and healthy 4th of July. As the holiday weekend approaches, we all should reflect back on the true meaning of the Fourth of July. On Independence Day, a day of recollection and hope, we are reminded of what was accomplished by signing the Declaration of Independence.

Given the current COVID-19 crisis, we have cancelled all 4th of July festivities.  We believe such events would needlessly risk the health and safety of our residents.  We want to send a message to our residents to enjoy the Fourth of July, to celebrate and do so according to State and CDC guidelines.

Please remember that COVID-19 remains active in many communities and the virus is continuing to spread. Wear a mask, keep your hands clean and avoid large groups. We encourage residents to continue to make good choices and follow the guidelines put forth.

In the meantime, please know that we are constantly monitoring this situation and we’re doing all we can to help everyone make the most of the summer season.  But we still need your help! So, please continue to show your respect for others by wearing a face mask, wash your hands often – and always practice social distancing.
