September 19, 2018 - Suspicious Persons

Nutley Police Director Alphonse Petracco and Chief Thomas Strumolo are advising Township residents that earlier today Police responded to the area of Ravine and Centre St. to investigate a call of suspicious persons. When police arrived three of four parties that were making entry into a local residence fled from officers and were quickly apprehended.

As a precaution Police ordered a secure in place for schools in the immediate vicinity until it was determined that no other actors were involved. At no time were the residents or children in any harm, and the secure in place was done as a precaution only. This appears to be an isolated incident and is presently under investigation.

At this time Nutley Police have four parties in custody. More information to follow.
