Township of Nutley Revenue and Finance Commissioner Thomas J. Evans is reminding residents of important dates and resources related to New Jersey’s property tax relief programs, including Senior Freeze, ANCHOR, and Stay NJ.

The deadline to apply for 2025 property tax relief benefits is November 2, 2026. Eligible seniors and certain residents receiving qualifying disability benefits may use the State’s combined Property Tax Relief application, Form PAS-1, to apply for Senior Freeze, ANCHOR, and Stay NJ benefits.

Residents who received a Senior Freeze check in 2025, do not need to file for ANCHOR and will not need to do anything until the new applications are released in March 2027 for the 2026 application.

Residents who filed a 2025 application but have not received a payment may check their application status online at propertytaxreliefstatus.nj.gov. The State notes that payment timing depends on when an application was submitted and whether additional information is required.

Residents who are under 65 and did not receive an ANCHOR letter in 2026, must file before November 2, 2026.
