Mayor John V. Kelly and the Nutley Department of Public Affairs are pleased to partner with Vitalant Blood Services of New Jersey to conduct a Nutley Community Blood Drive on Monday, September 21, 2026.  If you would like to schedule an appointment, please click on the following link: Vitalant New Jersey Donor Link and scroll down to the date above, or call (877) 258-4825. The drive will be held at the Department of Public Affairs and Health – 149 Chestnut Street from 3:00pm – 7:00pm.  Appointments are strongly recommended, although walk-ins are accepted.

Donor Guidelines:

• Do not donate if you are sick. 
• Weigh at least 110lbs
• Bring ID
• Eat a meal before donation.
• Drink plenty of water before and after

New Jersey on a whole is experiencing critically low donation numbers.  There is an urgent need for Type O Negative, O Positive & B Negative Blood Types, but all types are welcome and needed!
