Road Construction Notification - Harrison Street (Franklin Avenue to Bloomfield Avenue)

Mayor Dr. Joseph P. Scarpelli, would like to notify residents of an upcoming road project that may impact Township residents. This notification is in an effort to inform residents of the scope of the work, as well as to maintain a level of safety within the community. Our goal is to minimize disruption to our residents while working as quickly and as efficiently as possible to correct the issue. ROAD CONSTRUCTION NOTIFICATION
Harrison Street
Location: Franklin Avenue to Bloomfield Avenue

Beginning on Wednesday, September 13, 2017, weather permitting and continuing through Friday October 6, 2017, D&L Paving Contractors, Inc. will be performing concrete, milling and paving work on Harrison Street from Franklin Avenue to Bloomfield Avenue. The work hours will generally be between the hours of 7:00am and 7:00pm. Any changes in this work schedule will be communicated in advance.

TRAFFIC IMPACTS

  • Street/Roadway will be closed during construction hours;
  • NO vehicular traffic will be permitted on roadway during work hours;
  • Due to nature of the work there may be delays as equipment is moved;
  • If posted, please follow all specified detour routes;
  • Traffic delays are expected – please plan alternate routes.

RESIDENT IMPACTS

  • Street closures during construction hours for vehicles;
  • NO vehicular traffic will be permitted on roadway during work hours;
  • Entry and Exit to/from Driveways will not be permitted during work hours;
  • Due to nature of the work there may be delays as equipment is moved;
  • Please park all vehicles on side streets outside of work zone if needed during work hours;
  • Contact the Nutley Police Department regarding overnight parking restrictions.

PEDESTRIAN IMPACTS

  • Pedestrian walkway access may be limited during construction period;
  • We ask that when accessing these areas you use extreme caution.
