Commissioner Mauro G. Tucci and the Department of Parks and Recreation, in partnership with the Greater Nutley Cancer Foundation (GNCF), proudly hosted the 2025 Stuff-A-Bus event, a community toy drive that brings comfort and joy to children spending the holidays in area hospitals.
Held from December 9 through December 11, the three-day initiative successfully filled the GNCF bus with more than 700 toys and presents. Each evening, GNCF, the iconic bus, and a team of volunteers were stationed outside 44 Park Avenue, collecting new, unwrapped toys from residents, businesses, and community groups. All donated items will be delivered to children bravely fighting illness, offering a moment of happiness and a powerful reminder that their community is thinking of them. The final night culminated in a festive Stuff-A-Bus Celebration hosted by Nutley Parks and Recreation.
“This event truly captures the best of Nutley – neighbors coming together to support families in a difficult time and bringing smiles to children who need them most,” stated Commissioner Tucci.
Organizers extend special thanks to the Nutley Irish American Association, CORE Physical Therapy & Sports Performance, Quest Diagnostics, the Pokémon GO Community, Dana & TJ Stone, the students of Yanticaw and Lincoln Schools, and everyone who contributed to making the 2025 Stuff-A-Bus such a meaningful success.
