Commissioner Mauro G. Tucci and the Department of Parks and Recreation has announced that the Recreation Traveling Basketball Program is now open for registration. This program is dedicated to helping the youth build self-esteem and self-confidence through organized basketball. We strive to educate and motivate each player to achieve their own individual level of success. Character development is stressed through teamwork and sportsmanship, remembering that the primary goal is for the children to have fun.

“This program not only develops athletic ability, but also builds character, discipline, and lifelong friendships,” stated Commissioner Tucci. “We want every child to walk away from this experience feeling more confident, more connected, and proud of their growth.”

This program is for experienced players, and try-outs are required. Youngsters will be required to travel to surrounding communities. Travel Basketball tryouts will be held for boys and girls in grades 5 through 8. Please see printable application for try-out dates and individual deadlines to register.

The fee for this program is $125.00 per player.

WE WILL NOT ACCEPT REGISTRATIONS AT THE DOOR.

PARTICIPANTS ARE EXPECTED TO ATTEND INITIAL TRYOUT

**OUTSIDE EVALUATORS WILL BE ASSISTING THE COACHES IN
SELECTING THE TRAVEL TEAMS**
