Commissioner Mauro G. Tucci and the Department of Parks and Public Property invite Nutley residents to Join the Greater Nutley Cancer Foundation’s Kickoff Party to the Second Annual Festival of Hope!  The event will be held on Thursday, February 6, 2025 - 6:30 p.m. at the Department of Parks and Recreation, 44 Park Ave., Nutley, N.J., Room 300.

The Kickoff Party is free and open to the public. The purpose of the evening is to bring our community together to raise awareness of the Greater Nutley Cancer Foundation and our mission to provide financial support to those who have been affected by cancer.

The doors will open at 6:00 pm with Rob Frannicola of Ultimate Entertainment providing music for the evening.  Pat Custode of Ralphs Pizzeria will be sponsoring dinner with the Nutley Shoprite supplying desert.  

The Greater Nutley Cancer Foundation, a nonprofit organization, has seen an incredible outpouring of generosity from the community, sponsors, and donors since its inception.  Through a range of initiatives, The Greater Nutley Cancer Foundation will continue to make a lasting difference in the lives of many, and are thrilled to announce that it raised $38,000 last May!

 “Through the generosity of the Nutley community, we reached our goal of giving funds to local cancer survivors and their family members.  We were able to donate 20% of the proceeds raised to research, in hopes that we will see a cure for cancer in our lifetime.  Our signature event, Festival of Hope will take place Friday, May 9, 2025, and has the potential to be one of our best fundraisers yet,” stated Commissioner Tucci.
