Registration Now Available Yoga for Kids

Commissioner Mauro G. Tucci and the Department of Parks and Recreation are pleased to announce that Yoga for Kids registration is now available.  This program is for Nutley toddlers ages 3 – 5 and will run for 6 weeks. Monday sessions will be available beginning April 15, 2024 at the Recreation Annex Building located at 65 Bloomfield Ave. Classes will run from 9:30 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. The fee for this program will be $30.00 per child.  Please note that limited space is available for this program.

IYoga for Kids, children will practice yoga postures and breathing exercises that will instill long-term goals and benefits. Without realizing it, children are learning techniques to help their bodies become healthier, stronger and more relaxed. “We are introducing quality toddler programs that will enhance the development and listening skills of children ages 3-5,” stated Commissioner Tucci.

Yoga for Kids is a discipline that can lead children on the path toward a calm and balanced mind, as well as help them to build a strong and flexible body. Benefits of yoga include:  Increased strength and flexibility, builds self-esteem, promotes self- discipline and teaches calmness as well as self- control.
