Commissioner Tucci Announces Spring Session for Art Workshop

Commissioner Mauro G. Tucci announces Art Workshop registration is now available. “This exciting program enables children ranging from grades 1 through 6 the opportunity to flourish by stimulating their creative spirit,” stated Commissioner Mauro Tucci.  Throughout this program youngsters will explore and enjoy the positive impact art history has in their lives. Classes will be held on Saturdays at the Parks & Recreation Department located at 44 Park Ave.

Art can play an effective role in contributing to the intellectual, emotional, and aesthetic life of children.  Miss Karen DeRose assists children in observing objects in a peculiar way and uniquely express their vision through their own art form.  Art has proven to keep children in school, provide motivation, and help children better understand the world in which they live in. The Nutley Recreation Art Class is the perfect component to motivate youngster’s minds and allow them to explore paintings as an art historian would.

Please note that class sizes are limited, and applications will be accepted on a first come, first served basis.  The goals of this department include continuing to provide top quality, affordable activities for all ages.

The Registration Fee for this class is $40.00 per child.  Online registration is available at https://register.communitypass.net/nutley.
