Nutley Police Director and Chief Thomas Strumolo are warning resident of road closures due to flooding.

Police and Fire have been barricading areas of town that are experiencing flood conditions.

Chief Strumolo warns residents not to drive through flood waters with your vehicle. We have already needed to help motorists out of their submerged vehicles.

As of now we have the following areas closed-

• Passaic and Rutgers 
• River Rd and E Centre
• Brookfield and Brookway
• Rutgers and Whitford
• Kingsland and Bloomfield
• Harrison and Franklin 

All parks and paths should be avoided where river is overflowing, please remove leaves from storm drains.

Director Petracco said please do not drive unless absolutely necessary. Your safety is our number one concern.
