Spring K-2 Hoops Program Now Available for Registration

Commissioner Mauro G. Tucci is pleased to offer the opportunity to register for our Spring K2 Hoops Program to youngsters in grades Kindergarten to 2nd Grade .  “This program is designed to teach youngsters the fundamentals of the game in a fun, social environment,” stated Commissioner  Mauro G. Tucci. The fee for this program will be $60.00 per child.  K-2 Hoops will begin April 12, 2023, and will be instructed by Nutley’s own Blaze Hoop Crew

Carol Blazejowski, one of the most legendary trailblazers in women’s basketball will be instructing this program.  She was named an All-American in 1976, 1977, and 1978, and won the first Wade Trophy for the Women’s Basketball Player of the Year in 1978.  She was the U.S. Olympic team women’s basketball captain in 1980 and holds the men’s and women’s collegiate single game scoring record in Madison Square Garden with 52 points.  Carol Blazejowski  was inducted into the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame in 1999, the James A. Naismith National Basketball Hall of Fame in 1994, and the Montclair State University Athletic Hall of Fame in 1989.

Three sessions will be available for Nutley youngsters. This clinic will be held on Wednesday afternoons.

  •  4:00 p.m. Co-Ed- Kindergarten
  •  5:00 p.m.  1st & 2nd  Grade Girls
  •  6:00 p.m.  1st & 2nd  Grade Boys
