It's going to be a great summer in the park and you are invited to join the fun! Mayor Mauro G. Tucci and the Nutley Department of Parks & Recreation are gearing up for another exciting agenda of fun filled summer events, and we are pleased to offer the Free Summer Playground Program once again for 2022. If you are a parent, chances are you are already looking for ways to answer your kids when they start saying “there’s nothing to do” during the long summer days. “Our Summer Playground Program offers a fun and social environment to keep our youngsters physically active all summer long” stated Mayor Mauro G. Tucci. 

This program is open to Nutley youngsters ages 7 through 14. Nichols Park, located at the corner of Funston Place and Bloomfield Ave, will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  The playground is supervised by camp counselors.  Children will not be permitted to leave the playground once they sign in, unless they are accompanied by a parent.  

An exciting variety of activities have been scheduled throughout this program. Daily sporting activities, such as kickball or softball, and a daily craft activity will be provided for youngsters to enjoy.  The program will run from June 27, 2022 through August 19, 2022.    This program is free for Nutley residents to enjoy, so come and spend your summer with us!  Online registration is available at https://register.communitypass.net/nutley.
