SUMMARY:Fourth of July Firecracker Family Fun Run
DESCRIPTION:Mayor John V. Kelly III and the Nutley Department of Public Affairs and Health invite residents of all ages to kick off Independence Day in patriotic style at Township’s 2026 Fourth of July Firecracker Family Fun Run on Saturday, July 4, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. As part of Nutley’s legendary Fourth of July celebration, this exciting new tradition invites participants to celebrate America’s 250th birthday by running, walking, jogging, or skipping through Kingsland Park. Families, friends, neighbors, and visitors are all encouraged to take part in this fun-filled event designed to bring the community together in a spirited and active way. The run will begin in Kingsland Park, across from Kingsland Manor, and travel along the renown Nutley parks path to Chestnut Street before returning to Kingsland Manor.  During the run, participants will come across QR codes placed throughout the parks, which when scanned, will offer additional information and history regarding our amazing town and its residents!  Following the race, participants are invited to step back in time with members of Kingsland Manor, who will offer tours of the manor in period attire and share conversation about Nutley’s rich local history. Light refreshments will also be served, and participants will receive a commemorative 250th Anniversary gift while supplies last. Registration is suggested.
