Mayor Kelly Announces Heart Health Event in Honor of February’s National Heart Health Month

In recognition of Heart Health Month, Mayor Kelly and the Nutley Department of Public Affairs and Health invite you to a fun and laughter-filled afternoon with the Winick Brothers Magicians at Kurly Kurtosh, located at 74 E. Passaic Avenue on Thursday, February 26.

Kurly Kurtosh has been a Nutley destination since 2021. Owner Nicole Shaw attributes the success of her chimney cake bakery to using only pure ingredients, authentic European baking techniques and a warm, inviting, interactive environment where guests have a front row seat as the dough is hand-rolled onto spits and baked in real-time for all to enjoy.

The Winick Brothers Magicians are, well, just that. Brothers Keith and Greg are working to make the world a better place through magic and laughter. They have recently opened a storefront at 141 Franklin Avenue in Nutley, providing a space to host parties and events. They are available for off-premise events as well. They specialize in children and adult parties, school assemblies, magic classes and much more.

Scientific research confirms that “laughter is the best medicine” is more than just an old adage. It is a powerful, free and accessible tool that provides significant physical, mental and social health benefits. Regular laughter can improve immune system function, lower blood pressure, reduce stress hormones and act as a natural pain reliever.

This family fun, heart healthy event will kick off at 4:30pm. Complimentary chimney cakes will be provided.
