Mayor Dr. Joseph P. Scarpelli announces that the Public Works Department will have a special Leaf Bag Distribution Day Saturday, October 8th at the Public Works Garage located at 1 Cortland Street from 8am to 1pm . 10 bio-degradable leaf bags will be provided per household.

The leaf bag give away will be combined with a food drive for the Nutley Family Service Bureau’s food pantry.

Mayor Scarpelli is once again asking residents to help stock the Nutley Food Pantry. Canned goods, cereal, peanut butter, pasta, and rice are all needed. Residents can pick up their free leaf bags and at the same time help out those who are less fortunate.

In addition, if residents are unable to participate in the October 8th distribution day, leaf bags may be picked up at the Public Works Garage located on Cortland Street, weekdays starting Tuesday, October 11th between the hours of 8am and 3pm . Proper identification will be required
