Commissioner Mauro G. Tucci invites Nutley Residents to join in a long time Nutley tradition.  The Parks & Recreation Trout Fishing Contest has been an annual event in Nutley for 37 years. This event is a great way to bring youngsters together for some fresh air and fun!  “Over 300 fish will be placed in the Mud Hole  for the contest” stated Commissioner Mauro G. Tucci.  Nutley residents in grades 1 through 8 are invited to participate in this fun-filled event.  The event takes place at Memorial Park (Mud Hole, Passaic & Vreeland Ave), where hundreds of youngsters will compete for special prizes.  Join us on Saturday, May 7, 2016, beginning at 8:30 a.m. for some spring time fun! This event is rain or shine.

Experienced adult fishermen will be on hand to assist the children throughout the event.  No prizes will be given out after the official weighing station is closed.   Don’t forget your fishing pole and a chair. “This special fishing event provides an opportunity for families and friends to share fun and quality time together while learning about one of our nation's favorite pastimes” stated Commissioner Tucci.

Online registration is available at https://register.communitypass.net/nutley.  This program is open to Nutley Residents Only!  If you have any questions or need further information, feel free to contact the Recreation Department at 973-284-4966.
