Commissioner Rogers and the Nutley Health Department are pleased to announce the continuation of a program for the 2018 season at the Nutley Farmers Market that will double the value of Senior Farmers' Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP) vouchers. Seniors eligible for $25.00 SFMNP vouchers will receive an additional $25.00 in “Double Bucks” coupons for purchase of fresh fruits and vegetables throughout the 2018 season at the Nutley Farmers Market. This exciting new initiative is made possible through a grant from the New Jersey Healthy Communities Network (NJHCN) and funded by Partners for Health Foundation. 2017 Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program Vouchers will be made available for ONE DAY ONLY at the Nutley Farmers Market on Sunday, August 20, 2017 between the hours of 10:00am and 2:00pm.

As per the Essex County Division of Senior Services, all Nutley residents 60 years and older, and income eligible, may receive vouchers for the 2017 season. Applicants should be prepared to produce valid identification, as well as proof of income (Social Security Award Letter and/or Bank Statement) and proof of residency such as a utility bill, rent or mortgage statement.  Income Eligibility requirements: $1,832.00 monthly or less, or $916.00/bi-weekly or less.

As in the past, approved residents will receive five (5) $5.00 coupons, which can be redeemed for fresh fruit and vegetables only, at any farmers market in the State of New Jersey, July through November 2017.   Through the above mentioned program, seniors will be given an additional $25.00 in Double Value Coupon Vouchers to be used exclusively at the Nutley Farmers Market for fresh fruit and vegetables.
