IN CASE YOU MISSED IT
The Kingsland Manor will be open for tours on Sunday, January 3rd!
The holidays are such a rushed time of the year and you may have missed your chance to visit the Manor. The Historic Restoration Trust of Nutley will be opening the Kingsland Manor to provide everyone locally one more opportunity to see how the Manor was decorated for the Essex County Historic Holiday House tours.
On sale in our Ballroom will be reprints of historic maps of Nutley that were found in the archives of a local bank. There are two sets of maps spanning the early decades of Nutley from when it was called Franklin and a part of Belleville.
The earlier set of maps is the 1890 Robinson maps that show the locations of some of the tracts of land owned by the prominent families that made up the foundation of Nutley while it was still Franklin.
The second set of maps is the 1906 maps that provide more detail of the roads, street car tracks and railroad that existed when Nutley was incorporated as a town.
Come visit the Manor for a tour of our grand holiday decorations and take the time to locate your home on the maps available for purchase in our Ballroom. Each map is printed on quality paper and priced at $30 each or $75 for a complete set of three.
When: Sunday, January 3rd
Time: 1 to 4pm
Where: The Kingsland Manor at 3 Kingsland Street
Proceeds from the sale of the maps will be used to purchase signage for all of the historic Nutley sites. For more information on this and other upcoming events:
