Commissioner Mauro G. Tucci announces the Nutley Department of Parks and Recreation will be offering the Peanut Soccer Program again for this spring.  This program is open toNutleytoddlers ages three through five and is directed by Ashley’s Soccer professional coaching staff, the leaders in youth soccer education.

Introduce your child to the wonderful world of sports.  There are tremendous benefits when introducing children to sports from the toddler level. “Some benefits include helping build confidence, improving social and listening skills and promoting fitness from a young age” stated Commissioner Mauro G. Tucci.   Peanut Soccer is an enjoyable non-competitive program designed to help the youngest of soccer players begin to develop basic soccer skills by participating in fun-filled, soccer oriented children’s games and basic physical education.  Peanut Soccer will begin on April 17, 2012.  A Tuesday 9:30 a.m. class and a Thursday 1:00 p.m. class will be offered.  Each class is 1 hour in length.

The program will be held in Glotzbach Field and will run for four weeks.  This fun, innovative curriculum is an exciting introduction to the sport of soccer for children ages 3 through 5. With the extensive teaching and coaching backgrounds they understand how children learn and how soccer can be taught effectively. ur
