Nutley Family Service Bureau Hosts Touch-A-Truck May 21st

Nutley, NJ – The Nutley Family Service Bureau announced its plan to host Nutley’s first ever Touch-A-Truck fundraiser on Sunday, May 21, 2006 from 11:30am to 3:30pm at Nutley High School and Booth Drive.

Touch-A-Truck is a unique, family-oriented one-day event, featuring trucks and cars to touch, climb on and take pictures alongside. Nearly 30 vehicles will transform the area into a playground of big rigs for children of all ages. “The Bureau is very excited about this fundraiser. It’s the perfect event for the entire family to come out and enjoy,” commented Bob McDonald, Executive Director of the Nutley Family Service Bureau.

The “rain or shine” event will include vehicles from various municipal offices, including the Nutley Fire Department, Parks & Public Works Departments, as well as vehicles from PSE&G, NJ Transit and local construction companies to name a few. Admission cost is $6 for children between the ages of 3 to 12; all others will be admitted free of charge. Also featured will be a kids craft corner, food court and DJ entertainment generously donated by Complete Entertainment, 518B Franklin Avenue, Nutley.

Nutley Family Service Bureau is an organization committed to promoting the emotional and social well-being of individuals and families through counseling, and to provide community outreach programs to families in need right here in our town and in surrounding communities.

If you are interested in sponsoring a vehicle that will featured at Touch-A-Truck, or if you have a vehicle that you would like to include in the event, please contact the Bureau at 973-667-1884.
