Nutley Thriving Survivors Announces Golf Outing
Nutley, NJ - The Nutley Thriving Survivors would like to invite the community to participate in a golf outing and luncheon to benefit the programs they sponsor. The Nutley Thriving Survivors is a committee that, as Public Affairs Commissioner, Mayor Joanne Cocchiola initiated. The committee, which is chaired by Michelle Fleitell, is one that is supportive to both breast cancer survivors and their families. The Committee is in the process of developing a program to offer support services to Nutley women.
The golf outing will take place on Monday, May 22, 2006 at Hendricks Field, Franklin Avenue, Belleville, and will have a shotgun start at 8:00am. A luncheon will follow at the Knights of Columbus, 150 Chestnut Street, Nutley. A raindate for the event is scheduled for June 5, 2006.
A fee of $100 includes 18 holes of golf with cart and luncheon with beer, wine and soda. There will be prizes, and a “closest to the pin” contest. If you would like to sponsor a hole on the course, the fee is $50. If you are interested in only attending the luncheon, the cost is $25.
“We are encouraging men and women in our community as well as our friends in neighboring communities to support our efforts by making a foursome. Or, let us set one up for you. Join us for a fun day of golf and lunch, prizes and competition,” said Mayor Joanne Cocchiola. “There are so many ways to get involved. Sponsor a hole or just come to the lunch,” added the Mayor.
The Mayor thanks the Committee Chair, Michele Fleitell, and members of the Thrivers Committee, Peggy Brodowski, Kathy Burns, Maureen Callaghan, Mary Ann Cioffi, Rose Cioffi, Joann Crisci, Joann Dunleavy, Sam Fleitell, Laura Flores, Nancy Greulich, Janet Halchak, Elaine Karsnak, Pat Klarer, Mary Ann Lauber, Kim Lewis, Norma Long, Annmarie Nicolette, Linda Rafanello, Kathy Rempusheski, Tom Restaino, Barbara Sarno, Nancy Szura, Rosemary Teeple, Greg Tolve and Jeanne Van Steen for all their hard work in combination with the continued support of the community, Roche, Nutley UNICO, and Clara Maass Medical Center.
