Nutley Fit Kids - Shaping New Jersey Grant
Mayor Joanne Cocchiola and the Department of Public Affairs are the proud recipients of the Shaping New Jersey Grant, funded by Partners for Health. Shaping NJ is the state partnership for the Nutrition, Physical Activity and Obesity Program focusing on environmental and policy change around obesity and chronic disease.
Grant funding will be used to purchase bicycle racks, as well as mile markers and signage which will be placed throughout the Nutley Park System, marking Nutley’s Fitness Trail. Funding will also be used for various programs such as Footsteps for Fitness, and others to be announced.
