you’re looking for a one-of-a-kind, unique way to bring holiday delights to
your family this holiday season, then make sure your plans include experiencing
the magic of a recreation tradition during the Nutley Recreation Department’s
third annual “Holiday Concert in the Park”!!
The Nutley Recreation Department has scheduled the Third Annual
"Holiday Concert in the Park" for Saturday, December 6, 2008, at Memorial
Park I (Mud Hole). The concert will feature the sensational "Cameo’s."
The band will be performing a set of holiday classics in a winter wonderland
atmosphere filled with holiday lights, decorations and decorated holiday trees.
Memorial Park pond will be lined with beautifully lit and decorated live
Christmas Trees to help ring in the holiday season.

Children’s
events such as holiday ornament decorating and a candy cane hunt will also be
scheduled throughout the concert for youngsters to enjoy. The festivities will begin at 3:00 p.m. A rain date has been set for December 13,
2008. This is free event for Nutley
Residents.
"The
holiday season has traditionally been one of the highlights of the year in
Nutley," Parks and Recreation Department Mauro G. Tucci says. "This
year, with the ‘Holiday Concert at Memorial Park,’ I think we have added an
even more delightful event that offers our townspeople an enhanced holiday
experience."
The
event will serve as a prelude to the traditional Nutley Tree Lighting Ceremony.
Local business owners and service groups
will add in the joyful night by setting up stations in the park to give away
free items such as hot soup, hot chocolate, cookies, roasted marshmallows,
funnel cakes, fried oreo’s or any items fitting the theme of the evening.
"All of our events are community-based and driven," Tucci adds,
"and we would like to thank our local businesses and services groups for
taking part in this wonderful celebration of the holiday season." Free Horse and Carriage Rides through the
park will also be available to get residents in the Holiday Spirit! |

US Featuring the Christmas tree and Menorah lighting, the community is invited to share one of Nutley's most beloved traditions.
The evening is full of family fun, including a photo op with Santa, a visit with his reindeer, train and horse & carriage rides, refreshments and entertainment. Guests will also be treated to the wonderful sounds of various Nutley school choirs.
The event will take place both inside and outside; inside activities in the John H. Walker Middle School, and outside activities taking place around the Nutley Park Oval area. |
