THOMAS J. EVANS
Commissioner Thomas J. Evans is a life long resident of Nutley, graduating from Nutley High School in 1973. He received a B.S. in Accounting from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 1977 and became a CPA in 1982.
He is a partner in PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, a premier global partnership serving Fortune 500 and middle market companies around the world. The breadth of his experience spans 28 years and includes consulting on matters of accounting principal, budgeting, independent auditing and managerial responsibility.
Currently, he is the leader of our US Corporate University, overseeing 220 employees with an annual budget authority that exceeds $150 million. In this role, he is responsible for meeting the educational needs of 2,000 partners and 25,000 employees in areas such as auditing, accounting, tax, industry, leadership and financial advisory services.
His wife, the late Yolanda Anne Perrotta was an attorney and served as the attorney for Zoning Board of Adjustment. He has three children, Mary Kate, 23, Georgetown University graduate, Tommy, 20, currently attending Georgetown University and the youngest, Andrew, 12, is in seventh grade at Franklin Middle School.
He is a member of the America Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA),
the new Jersey State Society of CPA's and American Society for Training and Development.
His work ethics have always been driven by four core values: Integrity, Teamwork, Mutual Respect and Personal Accountability. These principles continue to guide him every day.
He has previously served as a member of Board of Trustees for Nutley Free Public
Library and is a member of Nutley UNICO.
